FAQs

What services do you offer?

Therapy
We offer individual and family therapy services.

For family therapy sessions, we offer traditional family therapy where our clinicians treat the entire family as a system, as opposed to focusing around a specific patient. We also offer supportive family therapy that centers on providing support and care for an adolescent, child, or young adult in recovery, as opposed to treating the family as a whole.

Parent & Caregiver Support
For adolescents and children with eating disorders, we can also bill parent support sessions to insurance as psychotherapy without patient present to offer support for caregivers as they navigate caring for a child in recovery.

Level of Care Assessment
At this time all of our clinicians have worked in various levels of eating disorder care (inpatient, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient). With this experience, our clinicians can provide a comprehensive assessment, connect with other members of the current team - such as physicians and registered dietitians - to provide a recommended level of care for eating disorder treatment. Our clinicians can provide referrals for the recommendation, support you as you transition to that care, and would love to support you when it’s time for you to step back down.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form, email us, or give us a call — we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way. We will send you all the documentation you need through our HIPPA compliant electronic health system Simple Practice, which you can use to message your team securely throughout your time in care. Our clinicians will perform an insurance benefits check before your first session and review that information with you to hopefully eliminate any financial surprises and help you plan accordingly for your care.

What makes you different?

Eunoia Collective was built with an intention to be relational, authentic, anti-carceral, supportive of harm reduction and trauma-informed. We believe in meeting people where they are in their suffering and that recovery occurs across the lifespan. We seek to offer unconditional positive regard and care deeply about patient autonomy. If a client requires a higher level of care, we want to ensure that it is communicated and carried out in a way that is trauma-informed, collaborative, and deeply respectful.

While our clinicians have training in many modalities, we ultimately believe it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship that leads to change: maintaining and respecting that relationship is an essential element of our work.

When it comes to eating disorder care, we are HAES aligned, typically working within an intuitive eating framework unless you or your registered dietitian wants otherwise. We seek to be collaborative with your entire team, connecting with your RD, physician, and any other providers you would like us to speak to.

If we are not a good fit for you we can provide you with referrals to providers we know and love in the greater Chicago area. We want you to find a provider that you feel safe with as you embark on this important work.
